Recap & Reset 2019
2018-2019 was a huge success for Heart-n-Soul!
Although we are merely an advocacy group, so we have no financial statements, our yearly "recap and reset"
each year will be on July 25, Amber's birthday.
No better way to celebrate her life, than to see the good she has inspired!
HnS is currently reviewing their financial recipient for 2019-2020.
Our 2018-2019 financial recipient was, The Center for Working Families (C4WF). This is the state-side non-profit that supports The Working Boys' Center in Quito, Ecuador.
A total of $15,075 was donated to the Center. Another $300 was received after July 25 and sent to the C4WF.
You can see the breakdown of the initial funds here.
The Minga Crusaders' Mission Trip to Quito, Ecuador

The Minga Crusaders is the team of 8 that traveled to Ecuador to the Working Boys' Center (WBC) from July 4 to July 11, 2019 in Amber's memory. Read about their journey in the daily journal blog post
The mission trip is over, but the project is still on-going. HnS was able to sponsor a family in great need of repairs to their home. The repairs being made are to ensure the family's safety. While on-site, the team was able to achieve about 90% completion of rebuilding an exterior retaining wall at the residence. The WBC staff continued the work and the wall is now complete. The WBC is currently working on an economical roofing solution and stairway - as said before, safety is the main priority. HnS will follow the project until completion. The trip was an incredible experience and we look forward to the update!
Heart-n-Soul also hosted a number of events/mini missions this year.

Thank you to everyone that made our first year a true success!
This was a great start and we look forward to many more successful years to come.
